Alchemy of the Oracle

Once the seeker has accepted the path of awakening, their sensory expands and they become aware of who they are, and have always been, in new ways. You’re here, right? Alchemy of the Seeker

A seeker can roam aimlessly, hoping to find answers to questions not yet asked. Why?

Because as you begin to awaken, you can feel and sense that there’s more beyond what you’ve known or understood.

Season of the Womb

Free Class and Event to Ignite Your Practices!

There’s a lot of energy moving and grooving and you’re probably feeling the surge. If you want clarity around current energies, don’t forget to check out the Energy of the Month update…

…but that’s not why I’m really here. I’m here to let you in on a few things to help support clarifying your practice and current direction!

So first, how’s your practice going?

If you need a boost, something to encourage a flow of inspiration, or to reignite your connection to practice, there are some free classes/events that I want to make sure you know about. But before we get to that, I want to share another tip to support you…

Re-sit Your Class!

I just got back from spending four days with my teacher in Los Angeles. I haven’t sat in class since the pandemic, and it was more needed than I realized. The class was a mixture of those of us re-sitting and some practitioners taking Shinpiden (Reiki Master-Level) for the first time.

Why Re-Sit Class?

I have always shared the importance of practicing your practice. During the last few years, most of us found we had to practice alone, which is powerful, but there’s also magic in exchange and within community. This is exactly why I created the Alchemy Circle. We have practiced together consistently, weekly, for the last three years. Not only have we been diligent in practice, but we have grown a lot through our processes of energetic alchemy. And although I love teaching, it’s also important to remain a student.

Both of my teachers live abroad and would only come to California once a year, before COVID. My teacher, Arjava, has no plans of returning anytime soon, but my teacher, Frans, is here now for the first time since 2019. I used to re-sit class with both of my teachers, every year, because you learn more and understand in new ways as you develop and grow within your own practice. While some information seems repetitive, it all sinks in deeper, and again, may be understood from a different lens after you’ve had time to apply and practice.

This time I also realized the benefit of re-sitting because my teacher’s personal growth was evident. He has clearly expanded within his own practice, which allowed him to share with us in new ways. Not only did I experience class differently, but his offerings were a beautiful reminder that we all grow, remaining students no matter what.

The cherry on top: Reiju. If you’re a Reiki practitioner, it’s good for your practice to receive regular attunements, as this supports the connection and deepening awareness of the Great Bright Light that IS.

Then there’s the aspect of community, being able to share and exchange in person. I will continue to provide guidance, teachings and mentoring through the Alchemy Circle, but I’m also excited to teach Reiki again, which is the only class I teach in-person. So, if you ever wanted to study with me, but sure to stay tuned for upcoming emails, as I will be planning and scheduling Shoden, Okuden and Shinpiden.

How Are You Relating to Life?

Hello beautiful, alchemist!

Within the beauty of Libra season, many people begin to analyze and recognize their experience within relationship. While this doesn’t have to be romantically inclined, it does play a part. Even more though, bigger picture, you’re being asked to consider how you’re relating to your life in its entirety.

The scales of balance are upon you.

There are parts of your life that you pour more energy into, hoping to achieve goals and desires. There are things that you prioritize and often stress over, while other areas of life are sorely neglected. You’re aware of the imbalance, and yet you may not know how to reach a state of harmony with all that you have on your plate, on your mind and in your heart.

There’s a common struggle between this and that. How do you accomplish this and that? How can you make time for this and that? How can you have it all…this and that?

One of the first things to consider is the balance of heart and mind; what you think and what you feel. When you’re torn between what you think is right and what you feel is best, the inner tug-of-war can become daunting and keep you in a state of dissatisfaction. How often do you find yourself pulled towards what you “have to do”, versus what you “want to do”, feeling the burden of imbalance?

Again, you’re being invited to consider the weighing of, the balancing of, heart and mind. Can the two coexist in harmony? Absolutely! In fact, when this occurs, you feel in flow! These are the moments when you feel everything is lining up, you’re dancing with synchronicity and excited about the experiences you’re choosing.

Here’s the thing…

These aren’t random occurrences, or don’t have to be. There is a way to manage the balance of heart mind, informing your decision making and how you relate to all areas of life, from your higher lens of understanding.

Unify the analytical and intuitive.

You’re used to functioning from a state of logic, reason…convincing yourself of this or that, despite what you may feel on a deeper level. On the other hand, there are times that you’re so caught up in the feeling of it all, that you throw logic out the window. In either scenario, you may end up feeling doubt, not fully trusting your choices and questioning if you’re doing the “right” thing. Ultimately, you question how you’re relating to and understanding your path. 

Are you on the “right” path?

As I mentioned, you’re very familiar with the analytical aspect of your mind and functionality. Unfortunately, you may not have been taught or encouraged to understand the language and messaging of the intuitive mind, which brings balance and clarity to your scope of vision and understanding. When you come into relationship with your intuitive mind, allowing harmony between the intuitive and analytical, you come into true knowing. You begin to trust your decisions; you understand how you are relating to all aspects of life, and you begin to manage it all with more wisdom!

You question and then desperately seek “right” answers for the sake of ease and grace on your path.

Navigate the Season, Intuitively

Hello, beautiful alchemist…

Wherever you are in the world, is there any evidence of the shift in season? Living in Southern California, it still feels like summer with cloudless skies and the need for air conditioning in the afternoon. While this is nice, I remember growing up with fall being my favorite time of year because of the changes. Yes, summer breaks were the best, but I was always mesmerized by the gorgeous change of leaves, crisp romantic air and big cozy coats. It felt like an imaginative time, a time to get lost in books, curl up with a blanket and watch my favorite movies. It was a time to settle down after the playfulness of summer, which was more focused on the external world.

No matter the weather, is something in you feeling the shift and welcoming of autumn?

There’s a certain kind of magic with the change of each season, the energy of each season, and what each season mirrors for our personal processes of growth, release and progression. What I love about this particular cycle is that it emphasizes recognition of harvest. We’re invited to acknowledge all that was gained and experienced in the fruitfulness, warmth and illumination of summer, taking stock of what is ripe and nourishing, while also noting what we may be clinging to that would better serve us in letting go.

Balance In All Things…

This is also the season that highlights our need for harmony and the alchemical nature of relationship. The sun is now illuminating the essence of Libra, offering the lessons of you and other as ONE.

• How are you relating to others, situations and things?

• How are you navigating relationships, partnerships or collaborations?

• How are you balancing work, self-care and family?

• How are you harmonizing mind, body and energy?

The good news is that we have nature, spiritual practices and community to support us. We have been designed to sense, feel and understand expressions of divine intelligence (form and formless) to help guide us through these cycles of transition and change. This is why your relationship to intuition is vital, understanding the dance and unification of intuitive and analytical mind (heaven and earth). When you are clear, receptive and aware of how you (how nature) are moving forward, there’s no need to resist THE WAY forward. It's not always easy, but that’s where our tools come in.

My go-to for clarity has been meditation. The connection to breath and slowing the mind into observation, rather than calculation, brings phenomenal states of peace. From this space, the analytical and intuitive kiss and become other. Consciousness elevates into awareness of all as no-thing. This state of being makes room for inspiration, guidance and knowing. It’s beyond confusion, but as you sink back into decision making mode, the analytical mind resumes its state of opposition with intuition…which often leads to doubt.

How to Establish Trust

Relationship building takes time, patience, willingness and diligence. Just as it takes time to get to know and understand others, it takes time to re-know and understand YOU beyond old stories, patterns and frequencies.

As you come into relationship with spiritual practices, such as Reiki and meditation, you begin establishing a new relationship with you and all. You become more aware of your intuitive and energetic sensory. You begin to have new understanding and insights that you may have never experienced before, so of course the analytical mind jumps in to assess…until it’s properly trained and translation of the intuitive is understood.

The first tool to help me learn the language of my intuitive mind was oracle cards. The images, symbolism, numbers, colors and even key words, bring the intuitive and analytical into co-resonance. Oracle cards help to validate your intuitive knowing, like a non-biased friend. Even more, they allow your intuitive mind to bring your blind spots into clear view.

Bliss Out, Before You Burn Out...

...someone had to say it, but I also have a solution - or two!

Hey, friend…

Happy, freakin’ Friday! Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? Today I danced in the car, after making time for my favorite breakfast. It was fun! Not that anything was overly exciting, but I enjoyed every moment, present and aware of how good the food was, the magic of being in great company and the pure bliss of singing and dancing to “old school” music.

Now, it’s time for work, and I am still deeply grateful for this moment in time to share with you. I usually put my newsletter on the backburner, thinking about all I want to share that will support you on your path, but then I make up a story around not having the time. You do the same thing, right? Something(s) in life that you keep putting off, and it haunts you to no end because you really did have time...

I was talking to the Alchemy Circle members about our relationship to time, being mindful in our moments and asking, “How can I enjoy this?”, no matter what we’re choosing or tasked to do. We also, as usual, ended our class with a guided journey to immerse ourselves in the experience of whatever we discussed.

I have been a busy-bee lately, managing “regular” work, returning to the podcast and mailing out The Energetic Alchemist Oracle decks. I admit, it has been a rush; exciting and frustrating, comical and mind-bending. It has been…interesting. Without thinking about time, I’ve just been in it. I’m aware of my energy through each moment of expression, aware of my perspectives and amplifying my gratitude through each task. This has made me grateful for time, rather than at war with it. Infusing Crystal Craft with Reiki

Do you love crystals? Whether you work with them or not, there's always so much to learn about the energy of crystals and how we can incorporate these beauties into our everyday lives. On this episode you'll meet and learn from Lani Woo. I was fortunate to see her presentation on crystal craft and crystal grids last year. Lani Woo is an initiated priestess of Oshun and a highly intuitive healer who specializes in Usui Reiki healing. Her road started in Richmond, Virginia and led her on a path to Urban and Regional Planning. Her journey continued to South Florida, where she discovered that she possessed a spiritual and healing component that was totally missing and very much needed from her technical day work. She ventured out to pursue her spiritual inklings and was led to the Usui tradition of Reiki. Lani has practiced and taught Reiki for eight years in South Florida, adding some other modalities, such as crystal healing, crystal grids and crystal divination. Reiki, Representation and Creation

This conversation highlights why representation matters, the power of touch, dismantling the stigmas around counseling and acknowledging when we need help! I'm always amazed and thankful to hear stories of what led people into this work. Not only is it inspiring, but also reminds us that we're not the only ones seeking a return to grace, love and understanding. Our stories also amplify the generosity and compassion of spirit that seeks to support others.

Today's guest shares a gorgeous story, blending art and Reiki as lineages of healing. Kianga Jinaki is a fiber-artist who creates quilts, dolls and mixed-media works that honor Black life and culture. Her works have been been exhibited both nationally and internationally since 1991. Ms Jinaki is a 2022 recipient of the Artist Innovation Fellowship presented by the Cultural Council of Palm Beach county Florida. A teaching artist, Kianga has has worked with The Norton Museum, Spady Museum, the African American Resource Library & Cultural Center, Palm Beach & Broward county library systems providing artistic/cultural programs for the communities they serve. One of her greatest joys as an artist is working with community members to tap into their own creative rhythm. The Magic of The Energetic Alchemist Oracle

I am so EXCITED to share this interview with you. Today you will meet the illustrator of The Energetic Alchemist Oracle, Hilary Zozula. Hilary is a phenomenal artist and the way she brought my imaginations to life was unreal. We discussed the process of working together, via email, for over a year!
